These are the buttons from left to right:
Use this selector to choose the book you will format
Use this selector to choose the chapter you will format
This button formats the chapter numbers in BOLD at the beginning of the chapter. Normally this will happen automatically, but if your version didn’t do that, you have a button to apply that formatting.
This button formats the verse numbers in superscript at the beginning of each verse. Normally this will happen automatically, but if your version didn’t do that, you have a button to apply that formatting.
Some versions include italicized text in their Bible and so this button is there for those who need it.
Most versions include footnotes. Unfortunately we are not able to import the footnotes from those version automatically. This button is used to apply a footnote. More instructions to follow.
This button highlights the biblical text that will be formatted appropriately as poetry
There are written documents recorded in the biblical text. This button will cause those documents to be displayed in a hand-written format. This button applies that styling to those passages.
Some versions make the name of God in the Old Testament have small capitalized letters. This button will apply that formatting. You will have to follow the version that you are using to see if and when they apply that formatting.
We use the yellow highlighter to highlight parts of Scripture that we have questions about. It’s a lot easier to see and remember where questions are and share them with the SourceView staff.
This button saves the data to our database. This button is the most important. If the button is green, there are changes to be saved. If the button is grey, the data is saved and up-to-date. Note: if you are unable to save, an error popup will occur. There are 2 reasons for not being able to save your work: 1. You don’t have a internet connection 2. You don’t have permission to save that language/version (this will be depending on the account that you are given) Please contact the SourceView staff if you need access to save your language/version: sourceviewteam@gmail.com
